Located in Koh Chang District, Trat Province, it covers an area of approximately 650 square kilometers and comprises 52 islands. Koh Chang itself boasts numerous tourist attractions, including waterfalls, bays, and beautiful beaches. In addition, there are many other nearby islands that retain their natural beauty.
The landscape consists of high mountains and complex rock cliffs. The highest peak is Khao Salak Phet, at 744 meters above sea level. The forest is mostly lush, well-preserved evergreen mountain forest, making it the source of many streams on the island. The western side features beaches and coral reefs. The national park headquarters is located on the eastern side of the island near Khlong Than Mayom. There are also three ranger stations, all located on Koh Chang: at Ao Khlong Son, at the entrance to Khlong Phlu Waterfall, and in Salak Phet village. A large pier is located on the front of the island and there is the only one pier at Ao Thamachat to across for Koh Chang, open daily from 06:30 to 18:30, with ferries departing hourly.
Places of interest on Koh Chang include Salak Phet village, Salak Khok village, Ban Na Nai Red Bridge, White Sand Beach, Khlong Phrao Beach, Bang Bao community, Than Mayom Waterfall, and Khlong Phlu Waterfall.
